A long story short, a hectic rain storm caused the retaining wall outside my room to collapse. The insurance company was called in and refused to pay any claims. When the retaining wall eventually did fall over and a new one was being built, they discovered that there was very little in the way of a foundation under a major portion of the house.

You will see an image of the inside of my bathroom which is basically under the ground. It was dug into the side of a sloping hill. So in all rights there should be solid earth behind the wall. I was starting to get terrible damp problems 2 years ago.

Well when the part of the old retaining wall was removed we were all in for a terrible shock, part of the house has no foundations what so ever! The insurance still will not pay out. The pictures are quite self explanatory. The photos of the tunnels under the house were only light up from the camera flash. Part of the house could collapse on top of my room. It has been filled with building rubble and concrete. We can only hope for the best. At one stage the house was being held up by a car jack! Scroll down for the shocking images!
